sorry for the many postings. Deactivating all other external software sources, removing GRASS QGIS and autoremove and then following

trying both stable and unstable repositories, I managed to solve the problem.

Maybe this helps somebody.

Hi again,

I just installed the new karmic instead of upgrading from the previous version.

Following you directions for installing grass, I obtain on v.in.ogr:

I heard that this could be a problem of the libgdal 1.5. But it happens that I don’t know where I can get libgdal 1.6

Hi,

I just managed to install qgis 1.3 on karmic. The problem is that I see no grass plugin on the list of qgis plugins…

Am I missing something?

something like apt-get -d install grass and put all the packages to flash disk and dpkg -i *.deb on the other system?

I’d like to install GRASS on a Linux OS machine that I can’t connect to the internet. can someone tell me how to download the software to CD, then install from the CD drive?

Yes. But I would suggest you tu use Postgres.

I have some Questions,

I’m working with ubuntu 9.04 32 bits. I compiled grass but I have some problems with Gdal. Now I want to work with your packages..

1- I work with MySQL database, your packages is compiled with MySQL driver?

for qgis give me this error, I don’t know where I found the public key for this repositorie?

3- Can I install GRASS of this repositorie

and install qgis 1.3 of this repositorie https://launchpad.net/~qgis/+archive/unstable
It will work ok?
